REGISTRATION FEE: See individual workshop listings for registration fees. Registration fees will include all materials for the workshops and refreshments during breaks.
REGISTRATION: Registration must be received 5 business days prior to the start of the workshop you wish to attend. Because enrollment is limited, it is necessary to pre-register. Send registration form and fee to Tax Practitioner Workshop Office, PO Box 946, College Station, TX 77841-0946. We accept payment by check, Visa and Mastercard. If express mailing your registration please send registration form and fee to Department of Ag. Eco., 315 Blocker Building, 2124 TAMU, College Station, TX 77843-2124. If paying with Visa or Mastercard, you may fax your registration to (979) 691-0654, or register online at www.taxworkshop.com
CONFIRMATION: It is our goal to send confirmation letters within 5 to 10 business days of receiving the completed registration form in our office. In the event of late registration, confirmation and receipt of payment may be mailed after the completion of the workshop. If you have questions regarding your registration and enrollment please contact our office.
AT THE DOOR REGISTRATIONS: Limited at the door registration may be available at the workshop on a first come first serve basis. An additional fee of $25.00 will be charged per person for registering at the workshop site.
RETURNED CHECK FEE: A fee of $25.00 will be assessed on all returned checks.
REFUNDS: Because our participants are professionals with demanding schedules, the Tax Practitioner Workshop Office has designed a unique refund policy to accommodate those needs. If you contact us the day before the program you are scheduled to attend, we can issue you a full refund; send you CDs, materials, and an exam package; or transfer you to another workshop. If you contact us on the program date or later, we offer you a choice of CDs, materials, and exam if one is offered, or transfer to another workshop. NO REFUNDS will be issued after the conclusion of a scheduled workshop.
All requests for changes and/or refunds must be in writing. Please fax to the Workshop Office at 979-691-0654.
TAPE RECORDERS: Tape recorders are not allowed at the workshops. CDs to accompany the workshop materials can be ordered for most workshops. See workshop listings for information.
CELLULAR PHONES & PAGERS: Please turn off cellular phones and pagers while in session rooms.
ROOM TEMPERATURE: Satisfactory meeting room temperatures are difficult to maintain. Always bring a sweater or jacket to ensure comfort.
COMMERCIAL EXHIBITS: Space will be available at some locations; contact the Workshop Office for details.
NO SMOKING: Smoking will not be allowed in the workshop area or classroom.
CPE, MCLE, & CFP CREDIT: CPE Credit will be given for workshops as noted on individual workshop listing. These courses conform to the standards adopted by the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy and most organizations which have adopted the NASBA standards. We are Sponsor No. 00139 for the TSBPA. Most workshops are registered with the State Bar of Texas for MCLE credit. Please check workshop listings for credit hours. The workshops are also designed to meet the educational requirements for practice before the Internal Revenue Service.
We have registered with the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy as a CPE sponsor. This registration does not constitute an endorsement by the Board as to the quality of our CPE Program.
The General Income Tax Workshop is accepted by the CFP Board for continuing education credit. Our sponsor name for CFP credit is Land Grant University Tax Education Foundation, Inc.
EXAMS FOR CREDIT: If you cannot attend, arrangements have been made to provide continuing education credit by exam for some workshops. See workshop listing for specific exam information.
CDs, MATERIALS, AND EXAMS: These materials will not be available until December 15, 2007 and will be mailed as soon as possible thereafter. Exams must be completed and returned sixty (60) days after they are distributed in order to receive credit. We cannot accept any registrations after January 31, 2008.
BEVERAGE SERVICE ONLY: Beverage service only will be provided at the workshops.
SCHEDULE AND INSTRUCTOR CHANGES: The Tax Practitioner Workshop Office reserves the right to change the schedule and instructors.
CERTIFICATES OF ATTENDANCE: These will be available at the conclusion of the workshop. No partial credit will be given. No certificates will be mailed.
TAX DEDUCTION: An income tax deduction may be allowed for expenses of education (including a portion of travel, meals, and lodging) directly related to maintaining and improving professional skills required in employment.
